Be Well will often partner up with UT Gardens to provide resources and fun, educational events (like building terrariums!). The goal of this is to empower UT employees to take control of their knowledge related to the relationships between health, nature, healthy eating, and overall nutritional intake. Gardening and cooking can seem like overwhelming tasks, at first. However, with the help of professionals from UT Gardens, and others, UT employees will learn the basic skills necessary to easily grow fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables, start their own gardens successfully at home, and with selected guest lecturers (upon availability) even show you how to cook unique recipes!
Gardening, cooking, and related activities can also be great ways to build a sense of community among employees. Participants can share their experiences, challenges, and successes, creating a supportive network for our campus community. Check out our updated Be Well Events page, below!
